Arkansas Diamonds Training Camp Begins

North Little Rock, AR - With the start of the 2010 season less than 2 weeks away the Arkansas Diamonds are scheduled to start training camp February 15th 2010 at the Jacksonville High School Indoor training facility. Due to the weather conditions outside the team will practice at the Jacksonville facility on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday and the Cabot High School Indoor facility on Tuesday and Friday. All practices will begin at 7:30pm and run through 10pm.

The Diamonds currently have close to 40 potential players who will be attending the training camp eight of which have NFL training camp experience.

Training camp will continue through February 21st when the final roster will be selected for the 2010 Indoor Football League season.

"I'm very excited about the up coming season and I believe that we have assembled a lot of talent," said Denton Barto, head coach of the Diamonds. "This is the time to see what players will rise to the top, and what kind of team we will have on the field."

The first game of the season will be February 28th against the Corpus Christi Hammerheads, in Corpus Christi Texas.
