
Arizona United Signs Eduar Zea; Release Midfielder

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (July 13, 2015) - Arizona United Soccer Club announces the signing of defender Eduar Zea. Zea most recently played for the San Antonio Scorpions of the North American Soccer League.
"Zea is an experienced player who will be a tremendous asset to our organization. His style of play and work ethic align with our club perfectly," said Arizona United Soccer Club Head Coach Michael Dellorusso. "We look forward to him with being with us for the remainder of the season."
The Columbian-born central defender began his career with Columbian side Deportes Quind?-o. He also spent loan stints with Columbian clubs America de Cali and La Equidad. As a youth, Zea played for Colombia's U17 squad at the 2007 FIFA U-17 World Cup finals in South Korea.
In other club news, midfielder Milton Blanco has been released from the team due to a violation of team rules. Blanco was in his first season with the club, playing in 14 games and starting 11.
Arizona United fell to 7-1-1, 22 points with its most recent defeat against the Seattle Sounders FC 2 on Sunday. It faces the Austin Aztex on Friday in Austin.
