Arizona Sundogs News Release

PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. - The Arizona Sundogs announced today that Brien Rea has signed on as the team's new Vice-President of Broadcasting and Communications. Rea will serve as the radio voice of the Sundogs starting this season.

The 28-year-old is a native of St. Louis, Missouri and will join the Sundogs in July. Rea has spent the last four years in the Central Hockey League, calling games for the Austin Ice Bats during the 2007-08 season and the last three years for the Odessa Jackalopes.

"I'm thrilled and excited to be joining the Sundogs," said Rea. "The organization treated me first-class from the beginning. Working for other teams in the league, I've always enjoyed trips out to the Prescott Valley area, and I'm looking forward to being apart of the things this team has planned for the future."

This past season Rea was selected to call the 2011 CHL All-Star Game in Rapid City, South Dakota.

Rea is a 2005 graduate of Lake Forest College in Chicago, Illinois where he spent two years as the radio voice of the Men's Hockey Team and worked at WGN Television. After graduating, he spent two years broadcasting college basketball, minor-league baseball, and arena football while also working for a pair of sports radio stations in the St. Louis area.

Along with his broadcasting duties, Rea will also oversee the team's media relations and communications needs.

The Arizona Sundogs are set to begin their sixth season of action in the Central Hockey League in October 2011. The team is also the host of the 2012 CHL All-Star Game in January. Season tickets, mini-plan, and single-game ticket information is now available by calling (928) 759-6600 or visiting arizonasundogs.com.
