
Arizona Hotshots Host Public Safety Salute and #19 Retirement Ceremony Sunday, March 3

Arizona Hotshots News Release
Tempe, Ariz. - The Arizona Hotshot will host a Public Safety Salute and retirement ceremony for the number 19 on March 3, 2019 when they take on the Atlanta Legends at 6 p.m. at Sun Devil Stadium. The number retirement will honor the 19 Granite Mountain Hotshots who lost their lives in the Yarnell Hill Fire on June 30, 2013. The Hotshots and Alliance of American Football have made it their mission to honor the team's namesake as well as all first responders.
As part of the Public Safety Salute, uniformed Public Safety officers will have free admission and be asked to join the team in the celebration on Frank Kush Field during pregame.
Pregame ceremonies:
All Present uniform personnel will be escorted to the field for pregame ceremony
Hotshots will honor those public safety officers we lost this past year
Families of those lost will be down on the field during Pregame
Coin Flip - Suzanne Wagner, Mother of a fallen Granite Mountain Hotshot (100 club)
Ball Delivery - Tempe Chief of Fire / Tempe Chief of Police

Honoring the Granite Mountain Hotshots with the retirement of the number 19

Hotshots will retire 19 and unveil it on Southeast Elevator Tower
