San Diego Fleet running back Ja'Quan Gardner, Salt Lake Stallions linebacker Greer Martini and Orlando Apollos quarterback Garrett Gilbert were named Alliance of American Football Offensive Player, Defensive Player and Unsung Hero of the Week, respectively, for week three of the AAF season.

Gardner finished Sunday's game with 12 carries for 122 yards and one touchdown plus two receptions for 21 yards in San Diego's 31-11 victory over the San Antonio Commanders.

The running back played college football at Division II Humboldt State and was signed by the San Francisco 49ers prior to the 2018 season.

Gardner burst through the middle for an 83-yard touchdown in the third quarter, the longest score in the Alliance's brief history.

Greer Martini highlighted Salt Lake's defense with seven solo tackles, two passes defended and a game-changing interception in the Stallions' 23-15 victory over the Arizona Hotshots.

Martini, 23, played college football at Notre Dame and spent some time on the Green Bay Packers practice roster.

Martini's interception in the third quarter against Hotshots quarterback John Wolford turned the tide Saturday.

Gilbert contributed a key 21-yard quarterback draw touchdown run in the fourth quarter that helped the Orlando Apollos defeat the Memphis Express 21-17.

Gilbert 27, spent time on the NFL Carolina Panthers active roster in the 2017 and 2018 seasons.
