Arizona Hotshots News Release

TODAY'S NEWS

The Hotshots suited up in full pads today in preparation for Monday's scrimmage against Birmingham.

The Hotshots are going through a simulated game week and will have a walk through Sunday at Incarnate Word.

While Coach Neuheisel is not ready to make a depth chart, QB Trevor Knight was the first quarterback on the field today in drills.

The Hotshots will play a preseason game against the Birmingham Iron on Monday, January 28th. This game will be closed to media, fans, and all non-AAF personnel.

Roster Moves:

K Erik Powell waived

K Nick Folk added to the Active Roster

WR Devin Lucien traded to Memphis for G Blake Muir

A member of The Alliance of American Football, The Arizona Hotshots are led by an experienced professional coaching staff and front office. The Hotshots feature Arizona native Rick Neuheisel as head coach and long-time NFL front office executive Phil Savage as General Manager.

The Arizona Hotshots team headquarters while in training camp in San Antonio will be the Holiday Inn Riverwalk in San Antonio with practices being conducted at Southwest High School.

YOU HEARD IT FROM THE HOTSHOTS:

Coach Neuheisel on the remainder of training camp: "Tomorrow will just be a walk through, we have a game the next day so we'll go through some checks of what we need to see on Monday. Like everybody, I'm sure it won't be our entire inventory cause you want to save some of that for your first game but that's not unexpected. Just fundamental football, I want to see good fundamental football and see us run and tackle and block. At the end of the day, that's what it's all about. In this kind of camp situation with health being so precious, it's hard to do a lot of talking so it's going to be interesting to see how we fair given that scenario."
