Alex Arias, Yuma Scorpions third baseman, has been selected as the Arizona Division Player of the Week. Arias led the GBL in batting with an average of .520 during the week as he went 13-25 with two doubles and a homerun. His seven runs scored was second in the league as was his on-base percentage of .556. The 11 year ex-major leaguer raised his season batting average to .339 and was a key reason the Scorpions surged into first place in the division.
