Everett AquaSox News Release

EVERETT, WASH. - Mark Reynolds homered and pushed in a total of four runs for the Yakima Bears in a 14-5 onslaught of the Everett AquaSox Friday night. Despite a two-game losing streak, the AquaSox remain in first place in the West Division of the Northwest League.

Reynolds' home run was his fifth of the season and was one of three home runs by the Bears in the game. Yakima has tagged AquaSox pitchers for eight home runs in this homestand. Reynolds went 2 for 6 in the game.

Everett catcher Omar Falcon hit a home run for the AquaSox in the second inning. The two-run blast tied the game at 4-4 and was his second homer of the season.

Yakima snuffed out the AquaSox' hope of a victory when they unleashed four runs in the sixth inning and another four in the ninth inning to give themselves a runaway lead and eventual victory of 14-5.

The AquaSox and Bears finish the series on Saturday. The first 1,000 kids 12 and under to the ballbark will receive a Gil Meche bobblehead doll. Fireworks follow the game and it's also Frogstock Night. The game begins at 7 p.m. and gates open at 6 p.m.
