Boise Hawks News Release
EVERETT, Wash. - Stephen Kohlscheen tossed seven innings of two-hit ball, helping the Everett Aquasox to a 2-0 victory over the Boise Hawks at Everett Memorial Stadium.
The righty retired 17 batters in a row at one stretch and hasn't allowed an earned run in his last two starts. Kohlscheen did not walk a batter and struck out two, allowing a pair of Pin-Chieh Chen singles.
The Aquasox got on the board in the first on a solo homer by Marcus Littlewood, then added an insurance run in the fifth, as Seattle Mariners infielder, Luis Rodriguez, down on a rehab assignment, singled home Patrick Brady to make it 2-0.
Brady and Ramon Morla each had two hits in the win for Everett - as Tim Griffin tossed the final two innings for his third save.
Chen went 2-for-4 in the loss for the Hawks, who wasted five solid innings from Yao-Lin Wang and three shutout innings from Jose Rosario.
Game 4 of the series is tomorrow night at 8:05 p.m. (MT)
