
Apodaca Returns to Flight

GREENVILLE, S.C., March 2 â The Huntsville Flight has reacquired guard Rick Apodaca and released center Ike Nwankwo, according to an announcement by NBDL director of basketball operations Chris Alpert and Flight coach Ralph Lewis.
Apodaca, 6-3, 190, played in 21 games (six starts) with the Flight earlier this season before an injury forced him to miss the last 10 games. He was a fifth round pick (25th overall) of the Flight in the 2003 NBDL Draft.
Nwankwo played in 15 games (one start) since being picked up by the Flight on Jan. 12, averaging 17.9 minutes, 2.5 points and 5.2 rebounds.
