Angels clinic set for this Saturday at the Epicenter

Rancho Cucamonga, CA- The Rancho Cucamonga Quakes, in cooperation with their parent Major League club, the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, will hold the fifth-annual Angels Youth Baseball Clinic, presented by Shea Homes, this Saturday (the 20th) at the Epicenter in Rancho Cucamonga.

The clinic will commence at 9:00 A.M., with registration beginning at 8:30 A.M. It will last approximately three hours and is free to boys and girls aged 6-12 and open to aspiring ballplayers of all skill levels. The clinic will be led by Quakes manager Bobby Mitchell, along with members of the Angels' instructional staff, including former Cleveland Indians hurler Charles Nagy, a three-time former Major League All-Star who serves as the pitching coach for the Angels' Triple-A affiliate in Salt Lake City, and former Major League infielder Craig Grebeck, who currently serves as the Quakes' hitting coach.

During the clinic, parents will have the opportunity to meet the new additions to the Quakes' front office staff and check out exciting information about Quakes ticket packages and group outings for the upcoming 2007 season. Quakes' souvenirs and merchandise will also be available for sale.

Angels' coaches will lead drills in hitting, fielding, pitching, and catching, and lunch will be provided by the Quakes' staff for all children participating in the clinic. There will also be an autograph session following the clinic. Participants are kindly asked to wear proper attire and tennis shoes, not cleats, to the clinic. Pre-registration is not necessary.
