Angel Molina, Wayne Lundgren Named Can-Am League Players Of The Week

DURHAM, NC -- The official statistician of the Can-Am League, PA-Sportsticker, has selected American Defenders of New Hampshire OF Angel Molina and Brockton Rox RHP Wayne Lundgren as the Teamline Direct Batter and Pitcher of the Week.
In seven games this past week, Molina batted .429 with one home run, six RBI and five runs scored. He also collected 12 hits in 28 at-bats, slugged .714 and had an on-base percentage of .485. In Tuesday's 8-3 win over the Worcester Tornadoes, the Ponce, PR resident went 3-for-4 with two doubles, two runs scored and a run batted in. Molina is currently hitting .273 with 10 home runs, 47 RBI and 71 hits. He is fourth in the Can-Am League in RBI and tied for fourth in extra base hits (28).
Lundgren tossed a complete game shutout in the 3-0 victory over the Worcester Tornadoes this past Friday. The Australian allowed seven hits with fanning six Worcester batters. Lundgren is 6-5 on the year with an earned run average of 2.53 and five complete games. He is first in the league in complete games and innings pitched, tied for first in shutouts (2), second in ERA and third in strikeouts.
