Angel City Football Club Announces 2024 Preseason Roster

LOS ANGELES (January 24, 2024) - Today, Angel City Football Club (ACFC) released their preseason roster in preparation for their third season in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL). Included on this roster are ACFC's three 2024 draft picks, four newcomers from offseason moves, and 20 returning players from the 2023 NWSL season. Preseason training kicks off tomorrow, January 24.

ACFC's preseason roster features the following players (in alphabetical order by last name):

The 32 players will train under Head Coach Becki Tweed, First Assistant Coach Eleri Earnshaw, Assistant Coach Lee Nguyen, Technical Assistant Coach Mykell Bates, and Performance Analyst Oliver Blitz to prepare for the club's upcoming season.

"We are at a stage now where we are not an expansion team anymore and we have to keep strengthening our squad," said Tweed. "Looking at our 2024 roster, we have a great blend of immediate impact players and players we see for the club for the future. We have some exciting new players, but also those who have built the foundation of this team."

Notably, the club's 2024 draftees, midfielders Felicia Knox and Jessica Garziano, along with defender Madison Curry, will be in the training environment with their new team.

The club's offseason acquisitions this year are defender Gisele Thompson, forward Casey Phair, and midfielders Meggie Dougherty Howard and Rocky Rodríguez.
