MOBILE, AL -- The Mobile BayBears shutout the Jackson Generals 3-0 Friday night at Hank Aaron Stadium. The BayBears improved to 13-9 and remain two games back of the Montgomery Biscuits for first place in the Southern League South Division.

BayBears RHP Chase Anderson was dominate in rout to his third win of the season. Anderson shut out the Generals over 6.2 innings. Limiting Jackson to just five hits, while walking one and striking out five. Anderson has allowed just three earned runs over 31.2 innings in his first five starts in 2014.

Mobile scored first in the bottom of the third inning when Mike Freeman doubled to lead off the frame and later scored on a sacrifice fly David Peralta. Then Mobile would pick up their second run of the inning when Jon Griffin reached home safely after a wild pitch from Jochi Ogando and Mobile's final run of the game came in the fourth inning when Steve Rodriguez earned his first Double-A RBI, driving in Justin Greene from first.
