Anaheim Storm Announce Roster

Anaheim, CA (December 17, 2004) â Today, Anaheim Storm Head Coach and General Manager Derek Keenan announced the team's roster for the 2005 season. The roster consists of 23 players, 2 goalies and 21 runners.
Eight of the 23, are returning players: forwards Richard Morgan, Casey Powell and Scott Stewart; defensemen Cam Bergman, Damien Davis, Chris Seller and Chad Wittman; goaltender Matt Roik.
"My job is to put a winning team on the turf," said Keenan. "Over the last two days, that job has meant me making some very hard decisions with regards to our roster. Letting talented, dedicated players go is never easy but building a well-rounded team is even tougher."
Trades, acquisitions and training camps have resulted in fifteen new Storm players. Players to watch include forward Raweras (pronounced "Law-way-las") Mitchell and defenseman Pat Jones. Mitchell, from the Akwesasne Mohawk Nation, walked into training camp after his summer league coach contacted Keenan. Jones was acquired in a trade with the Toronto Rock.
New faces also include four former Vancouver Ravens: defensemen Rory Glaves, Bruce Murray, Matt Dwane and forward Peter Morgan, brother of Richard Morgan. Joining Roik as goaltender will be Matt King, formerly of the Calgary Roughnecks, and Michael McKay.
Keenan designated three practice players from Southern California, Brian Kelly, Brad Reppert and Michael Watson. Scott Hochstadt will remain on the Storm's Injured Reserve list where he was placed after a knee injury during game two of last season.
