Americans Send Two to NHL Prospects Tournament

Allen, Texas - The Allen Americans, ECHL affiliate of the Minnesota Wild, announced today that two signed players for the upcoming season are attending NHL Prospects Camp with the Minnesota Wild in Traverse City, Michigan.
Both Matt Foget and Josh Thrower will be a part of the Minnesota Wild Roster in action starting tomorrow night. Foget joined the Americans late last season and had one point in two games. Josh Thrower joined Allen as a rookie last year and had seven points and 102 penalty minutes in 69 games.
"I'm heading to Traverse City today," said Americans Head Coach Steve Martinson. "This will be a great opportunity for both Matt and Josh to showcase their abilities."
The Traverse City tournament, features some of the top young stars of the NHL The tournament is hosted by the Detroit Red Wings, featuring eight teams; Minnesota, Columbus, Chicago, Carolina, New York Rangers, St. Louis and Dallas.
