November 16, 2013 - Central Hockey League (CHL)
Allen Americans News Release

Allen, Texas -Allen Americans Head Coach and GM Steve Martinson announced today that forward Alex Lavoie has been loaned to the Oklahoma City Barons of the American Hockey League.

Lavoie leads all CHL rookies in scoring with 16 points (5 goals and 11 assists.) He is 5th overall in the league in scoring, as well as leading the Americans in points.

"Alex made a strong impression when he attended the Barons training camp and now it's paying off," said Allen Head Coach Steve Martinson. "Our motto is pretty simple, if you're good enough to play in the AHL and you're in Allen, you will get an opportunity. Our roster rules make it difficult, but we are committed to our program."

Lavoie has at least one point in every game but four, this year. The native of Anjou, PQ, is playing in his first full season with the Allen Americans. He played in one playoff game for Allen last season after joining the team as an amateur.

The Americans next game will be next Friday, November 22nd against the Tulsa Oilers. Tickets for all Americans home game can be purchased online at www.allenamericans.com .
