HR: SP-Brian Becker (4), Rob Fischer (3)
St. Paul starting pitcher Mike Meyer struck out four and allowed just three hits in a complete game shutout of Coastal Bend to record his second win of the season. Meyer got plenty of support from Saints offense, which produced eight runs on 12 hits. 1B Brian Becker and CF Rob Fischer each homered and LF Brian Sprout went 3-for-5 with a run scored to lead the offense. Other than LF Brian Fryer, who was 2-for-2, only one Coastal Bend hitter managed to record a hit.

Fort Worth 7, Shreveport 2
@ Fort Worth, TX. Time: 2:45 Attendance: 3,839
W: Kevin Hull (2-2) L: Bert Snow (2-1) S: NONE
HR: FW-Marc Mirizzi (1)
Fort Worth recorded three runs in the second inning and remained in relative control of the game the rest of the way. Shreveport posted a run each in the fifth and sixth to draw within a run, but the Cats proved too much - posting a run in the sixth and seventh and two more in the ninth to seal the win. Starting pitcher Kevin Hull was the pitcher of record for Fort Worth. Hull allowed two runs on seven hits through five innings of work and struck out nine to get his second win of the year. SS Marc Mirizzi had a big day for the Cats, going 2-for-4 with a double and his first home run of the year. Mirizzi drove in two and scored a pair as well to power the Cats to their 12th win.

St. Joe 7, Sioux City 0
@ Sioux City, IA. Time: 2:13 Attendance: 2,431
W: Mark Nussbeck (1-1) L: J.D. Scholten (2-1) S: NONE
HR: NONE
The Blacksnakes' pitching staff made short work of Sioux City as they combined to toss a three-hit shutout, a game that lasted just two hours, thirteen minutes, ending their 10-game losing streak. Mark Nussbeck got the nod to start for St. Joe and went six innings allowing one hit and he struck out four. Explorers' starter J.D. Scholten made the contest a pitcher's duel for five innings, but only managed to get one out in the fifth and at the end of the inning the Blacksnakes held a 5-0 lead. 2B Jake Whitesides led the offensive attack for St. Joe. Whitesides was 2-for-3 with three RBIs and a run scored. The second baseman also connected for his third triple of the season in the winning effort.

Lincoln 9, Sioux Falls 5
@ Sioux Falls, SD. Time: 2:42 Attendance: 3,177
W: Roger Lincoln (3-1) L: Aaron Garrison (1-1) S: NONE
HR: SF-Abner Arroyo (4)
The Saltdogs used three hits and an error to take a 3-0 lead in the first inning, making it look like I could have been a rather long night for Sioux Falls. But the Canaries chipped away at the lead a run at a time and tied things up at three in the fourth inning on an RBI single by CF Jason Sugden. Lincoln put the game away for good in the sixth, though, when they plated six to take a 9-3 lead that the Canaries never would be able to erase. Saltdogs' starting pitcher Roger Lincoln picked up his third win of the season. Lincoln worked seven innings allowing three runs on seven hits and struck out six. Sioux Falls 1B Abner Arroyo was 3-for-5 and hit his fourth home run of the year, a solo shot, in the losing effort.
