Starting pitcher Pedro Flores pitched seven strong innings, allowing only three hits and one run to pick up the win for Coastal Bend. Flores struck out seven on the night as well. Relief pitcher James Lira tallied his league-leading 8th, pitching a scoreless ninth. 3B Bryon Smith led the Aviators at the plate with two hits and drove in both of the Coastal Bend runs. St. Paul starting pitcher Charlie Rudd suffered the loss for the Saints despite pitching eight innings and allowing only one earned run on six hits.

Shreveport DH Chad Gambill drove in three runs to push the Sports past Fort Worth 6-3. LF Ron Fenwick hit his first homerun of the season to provide some offense for the Sports as well. Starting pitcher Ryan Snyder picked up the win, allowing only two runs over five innings. Relief pitcher Gerson Mercedes was perfect in the ninth for the save. LF Tony Mota went 1-for-3 with a homerun and two RBI for the Cats in the losing effort.

Sioux City 3, St. Joe 0

SS Robert Mendoza's three run homerun in the seventh provided all the runs scored in the game and gave Sioux City its 11th win of the season. The homer was Mendoza'a only hit of the game and his third homerun of the year. Starting pitcher Tom Lipari got the win for the Explorers to improve to 3-1 on the season. Lipari went eight scoreless innings and allowed four hits while striking four. Relief pitcher Sean Kramer pitched a scoreless ninth to get the save, his fourth of the year. Despite picking up the loss for the Blacksnakes, starting pitcher Evan Thomas was strong on the mound, allowing only three runs on six hits.

Sioux Falls 4, Lincoln 2

Sioux Falls SS Angelo Fermin was perfect at the plate, going 3-for-3 with a homerun and two RBI to lead the Canaries past Lincoln 4-2. Starting pitcher Peter Bauer got the win, allowing just two runs over 7 1/3 innings. Relief pitcher John Wesley pitched a perfect ninth inning to notch his fourth save of the year. Lincoln SS Ryan Priddy and 1B Pichi Balet were the bright spots for the Saltdogs at the plate. Both had two hits and Balet scored a run in the losing cause.
