DH Brett Cooley hit a grand slam in the top of the seventh inning to give Lincoln the lead for good and improve the Saltdogs' record to 5-0 on the season. Nate Nowicki picked up his first win of the season pitching one inning in relief of starter Jeff Blitstein, who pitched five innings allowing two unearned runs. CF Cory Harris and LF Jose Torres both had two hit nights with Torres driving in one run. 3B Neb Brown led Shreveport at the plate going 3-5 with two RBI in the losing cause.

Coastal Bend took advantage of two hit batters, a walk and an error en route to a four run eighth inning and a 6-5 victory over Pensacola. C Stephen Morales and 1B Bryon Smith each had two hits and Smith drove in two runs for the Aviators. Ryan Nesloney got the win in relief of Pedro Flores who pitched the first seven innings allowing five earned runs. The win moved the Aviators to 5-1 on the season. Pelicans' C Jose Yepez and DH Larry Bethea had two hit apiece to lead the team in the loss.

St. Paul 5, St. Joe 4

HR: SJ-Wil Quintana (4); SP-Adam Olow (1)
2B/3B Pat Scalabrini walked and got the game winning RBI as St. Paul scored two runs in the ninth inning to beat St. Joe 5-4. C Jeremy Frost went 2-4 for the Saints and scored the winning run on Scalabrini's walk. Matt Hammons got his first win of the year pitching a scoreless ninth, striking out one. St. Joe's RF Wil Quintana homered and drove in two runs, while 2B Jake Whitesides went 2-4 with an RBI to lead the Blacksnakes' offense.
