The game was postponed due to rain. It will be made up as part of a doubleheader beginning at 1:05 PM on Sunday, July 15th in Shreveport, LA. Both games will be seven innings.

Sioux City 5, St. Joe 4

St. Joe entered the top of the ninth inning trailing the Explorers 5-1. But four hits and three runs later, the visiting Blacksnakes had the tying run on third base with LF Paul Weichard at bat. But Sioux City reliever Matt Wilkinson got Weichard to ground out to second base to end the threat and get his fifth save of the season. The Explorers took an early 3-0 lead after a two-run third inning. Explorers LF Jorge Moreno hit his 10th home run of the season in the fifth inning to highlight a 2-for-4 night. For the Blacksnakes, 1B Dustin Yount went 4-for-5 with a run scored.

Pensacola 3, Coastal Bend 1

The Aviators took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the third inning on a triple by CF Travis Tully. But Pensacola answered quickly with a run in each of the next three innings to take a 3-1 lead after six innings. The Pelicans used five pitchers in the game, with reliever Jeff Rodriguez earning the decision and his first win of the season. Rodriguez pitched the fourth and fifth innings and allowed no runs on four hits with a walk and three strikeouts. The Aviators had 12 hits in the game, but stranded 10 runners on base. Pelicans C Michael DeCarlo went 3-for-4 on the night with two RBI.

Sioux Falls 13, Lincoln 6

Sioux Falls used a seven-run fifth inning to take a 10-0 lead over the Saltdogs and put the game essentially out of reach. Lincoln pitching didn't register an out until the seventh batter of the big Canaries inning, with four runs already scored in the frame. The Saltdogs got as close as six runs behind, but three Sioux Falls runs in the top of the seventh inning stretched the lead back to nine runs at 13-4. Canaries SS Orlando Miller hit his first homer of the season to highlight a 3-for-5 night in which he scored twice and batted in four runs. For the Saltdogs, LF Pichi Balet went 2-for-4 with a home run in the seventh inning.

Fort Worth 10, El Paso 4

Holding onto a two-run lead in the top of the ninth inning, the Cats scored four runs to pull well ahead of El Paso, 10-4. In the bottom of the frame, the Diablos got runners to second and third base, but Cats reliever Aaron Marsden struck out Diablos 1B Walter Olmstead to finish off El Paso. Starting Cats pitcher Nicholas Martin earned his third victory of the season with a six-inning performance in which he allowed one run on six hits with two walks and five strikeouts. The game entered the seventh inning tied at 1-1, but the Cats erupted for five runs in the inning to go ahead 6-1. El Paso answered back in the bottom of the frame with three runs of their own to pull back within two, but that was as close as they would get.
