Sioux City would pound out 15 hits and plate 13 runs en route to the easy victory over Sioux Falls. C Chris Grossman and 1B Jake Daubert for the Explorers combined to go 5-for-10 at the plate with three runs scored and three RBI. 3B Ryan Gripp added his 13th home run of the season, which puts him into a tie for fifth in the league with St. Joe's Cory Harris. Explorers' starting pitcher Nate Holguin got the win, his fourth of the season, allowing four runs, three earned, on eight hits with four strikeouts. SS Ralph Santana was the leader for Sioux Falls this evening going 3-for-4 with a run scored and two RBI.

Fort Worth 11, Lincoln 4

In a battle of division leaders, Fort Worth broke open a close game with a five-run seventh inning to beat the Saltdogs. The win moves Fort Worth's winning streak to four games and keeps them in firm control of the South Division. The Cats had 18 hits in the game with CF Jordan Foster, 1B Shawn Williams, and LF Kris Zacuto each having three of them with Williams and Zacuto both driving in three runs. Fort Worth starting pitcher Danny Valentin improved his record to 4-1 going 5 1/3 innings allowing four earned runs on eight hits with five strikeouts. Lincoln 1B Brett Cooley had a 1-for-4 outing with a two-run home run, his 10th of the season.
