There certainly wasn't a lack of offense in this game as El Paso pulled out a win in a game in which a total of 28 runs were scored. With the game tied at eight, the Diablos poured on seven runs in the seventh inning and although Sioux City would stage a valiant comeback, that margin would prove too great to overcome. El Paso SS Albenis Mechado had a great game offensively, going 4-for-4, including his fourth home run of the season, with four runs scored and four runs batted in. C Ben Rosenthal also homered for El Paso. He finished the game 1-for-5.

Fort Worth 4, Coastal Bend 3 (12 innings)

Fort Worth C Adam Miller scored on a bases-loaded passed ball to give the Cats a 4-3 win over the Coastal Bend Aviators. The win improves the Cats to 20-9 in the second half and extends Fort Worth's lead over Coastal Bend to four games. The two South Division foes took 12 innings to decide the game that was back and forth the entire way. The Cats loaded the bases with no one out in the twelfth thanks to back-to-back errors and a walk, but were only able to plate Miller in the inning. Closer Steven Wilkerson came on in the bottom half of the inning to strike out two and force a 6-3 ground out, preserving the one-run lead and picking up his 13th save of the year in doing so.
