Fort Worth knocked out a season-high 21 hits and gave starting pitcher Joel Kirsten more than enough support to pick up his third win of the season. DH Kris Zacuto led the way for the Cats at the plate. He was 3-for-5 on the game, including two home runs, with three runs scored and two RBIs. SS Marc Mirizzi also went deep for Fort Worth, his sixth of the year, and finished the game 2-for-5 with 2 runs scored and 3 RBIs. The loss for Lord is his first of the season. The loss for St. Paul allowed Sioux Falls, who beat St. Joe, to move into a tie for first place in the North Division.

Lincoln 5, Sioux City 2 (Top 4 - Suspended)

@ Lincoln, NE.

The game between Lincoln and Sioux City will be resumed in the top of the fourth when Sioux City returns to Lincoln on July 27. The suspended game will go nine innings and the regularly scheduled game will go seven.

Sioux Falls 13, St. Joe 4

HR: SJ-Wil Quintana (13); SF-Chad Hermansen (12), Abner Arroyo (10), Edgard Clemente (1)

Sioux Falls starting pitcher Matt Koziara was the beneficiary of plenty of offensive support, picking up his second win of the season and moving the Canaries into a tie with St. Paul for first place in the North Division. Everyone that came to the plate for Sioux Falls had at least one hit. LF Chad Hermansen, 1B Abner Arroyo and RF Edgard Clemente each hit a home run and Hermansen has now done so in three straight games. With the win, the Canaries swept St. Joe in the series and move on to play Lincoln. The Blacksnakes got multi-hit games from three players in the losing effort.
