Sioux Falls took two of three in their series with St. Paul with a 5-2 win over the Saints. With the score tied 2-2, the Yellow Birds went ahead in the sixth with an RBI triple from CF Jason Sugden and an RBI double from RF Dustin Dellucci, and added an insurance run in the eighth on Dellucci's RBI groudout. Tony Cogan got his second win of the season for Sioux Falls, giving up one earned run on seven hits in six innings of work, striking out two. Four different players had two hits for St. Paul.

St. Joe 2, Sioux City 1

Jake Whitesides scampered home on a Mike Nunes ninth-inning wild pitch to push St. Joe past Sioux City 2-1, completing the series sweep for the Blacksnakes. Starter Donovan Graves was stellar for St. Joe, pitching St. Joe's first complete game of the season and allowing one run on four hits. Trevor Marcotte got a hard-luck no-decision for the Explorers, giving up three hits and one run in seven innings pitched. The Explorers' only run came on C Chris Grossman's leadoff home run in the third.

Lincoln 6, Coastal Bend 4

Lincoln overcame a 4-0 deficit to take the rubber game of the three-game series between the division leaders. The Aviators tallied four in the first on an RBI single from 2B Matt Creighton, a two-run single by 3B Andy Wilson, and another unearned run. The Saltdogs then came back with four in the second on a two-run double by SS Ryan Priddy and a two-run home run from CF Cory Harris, and added two more in the sixth on back-to-back solo shots from DH Paul Powell and 3B Jay Yaconetti.

Shreveport 7, Pensacola 1

Shreveport starter T.J. Hendricks threw a complete game, giving up one run on seven hits and striking out four, as the Sports cruised past Pensacola 7-1 to finish the series sweep. Up 1-0, Shreveport added two in the second on RBI doubles from SS Enohel Polanco and 3B Melvin Falu, one more in the third, and another two in the sixth on CF Coby Smith's two-run single. Smith finished the day 3-for-5. The Pelicans' only run came on DH Larry Bethea's steal of home in the fifth inning.

Fort Worth 5, El Paso 4

HR: FW - Jordan Foster (4), Matt Spencer (1)

Fort Worth built an early lead and held on to defeat El Paso 5-4. Down 4-0, the Diablos scored three in the fifth; the Cats responded with one in their half of the inning, and El Paso did likewise in the top of the sixth, but could not come any closer. SS Albenis Machado went 4-for-4 with a double and an RBI for the Diablos, while five different players had a hit for Fort Worth. Cory Walters got the win for the Cats, giving up three earned runs and striking out eight in 6 2/3 innings of work.
