Wichita 1, El Paso 0 (Game 1 - 7 Innings)

Centerfielder Steve Stanley singled home 3B Wilson Batista in the bottom of the seventh inning to give the Wichita Wingnuts a 1-0 walkoff win over the El Paso Diablos in game one of a doubleheader. Stanley finished the game a perfect 3-for-3 with a double. Wichita starting pitcher Josh Lowey was terrific en route to his league record setting 15th win of the season. Lowey tossed a complete game allowing only two hits and two walks while striking out four batters.

Wichita 4, El Paso 1 (Game 2 - 7 Innings)

Wichita completed the doubleheader sweep as they scored four runs in the sixth inning to rally from a 1-0 deficit and beat El Paso in game two by the score of 4-1. First baseman CJ Ziegler launched his 17th home run of the season to lead the Wingnuts offense. Wichita LF Greg Porter hit a double and scored a run while RF Jared McDonald collected a triple and plated a run. Wingnuts reliever Edgar R. Martinez notched the win after tossing a scoreless inning and allowing a hit. With the win, Martinez is now 2-1 on the season.

Winnipeg 4, St. Paul 0

The Winnipeg Goldeyes extend their wild card lead to three games as they beat the St. Paul Saints by the score of 4-0. Winnipeg starting pitcher Matthew Rusch turned in a solid performance on the mound en route to his ninth win of the season. Rusch went 7 1/3 innings giving up only a walk and four hits while fanning four St. Paul batters. Offensively for the Goldeyes, C Luis Alen went 2-for-2 with a walk and a run scored while LF Kyle Day had a 1-for-3 game with a run scored and a RBI. For St. Paul in the loss, 2B/SS Joe Spiers had two hits.
