Winnipeg 8, Sioux Falls 2

Winnipeg scored six big runs in the eighth inning to open up a tight game and defeat Sioux Falls, 8-2. The Pheasants took a 1-0 lead after one inning on a RBI single by DH Cory Morales. The Goldeyes scored single runs in the fourth and fifth innings to go ahead, 2-1. Winnipeg then put the game out of reach with the six-run eighth. CF Chris Roberson, C Luis Alen and DH Kyle Day each collected two hits for the Goldeyes while 3B Amos Ramon hit a three-home run in a 1-for-4 effort. Winnipeg starting pitcher Matthew Rusch tossed eight solid innings to notch his sixth win of the season. Rusch allowed an earned run on seven hits with two strikeouts.

Sioux City 6, St. Paul 5

Center fielder Brandon Newton's two-run home run in the bottom of the eighth inning broke a 4-4 tie and led the Sioux City Explorers to a 6-5 victory over the St. Paul Saints. Newton had a great game at the plate going 3-for-4 with two runs scored and two runs driven in. Sioux City SS Brian Bistagne hit a home run in a 3-for-4 effort while RF Peter Barrows and C Ray Serrano each had two hits. Explorers reliever Chris Lukanen got the final out in the top of the eighth with the bases loaded to get his first win with the club. For St. Paul in the loss, LF Willie Cabrera had four hits.

Laredo 12, Amarillo 3

It was all Laredo in this one, as the Lemurs scored all 12 of their runs in the first five innings and would cruise to a 12-3 win over the Amarillo Sox. Seven players in the Laredo lineup had multi-hit games including leadoff hitter Jimmy Mojica who went 3-for-6 with a home run, three runs scored and three RBI. Lemurs C Brian Peterson also had three hits with a home run, two runs scored and three runs driven in. Laredo starting pitcher Ryan Sasaki tossed another solid game en route to his third win of the season. Sasaki allowed two earned runs on six hits with 10 strikeouts in eight innings pitched.

Grand Prairie 5, Kansas City 3

Grand Prairie scored three runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to rally from a 3-2 deficit and beat the Kansas City T-Bones, 5-3. Third basemen Greg Porter led the AirHogs offense going 3-for-4 with a home run, two RBI and three runs scored. Grand Prairie C Zane Chavez and SS Yasutsugu Nishimoto each chipped in with two hits apiece and a RBI. AirHogs reliever Ronnie Morales tossed two scoreless innings to pick up the win and improve his record to 4-2 on the season. Grand Prairie closer Justin Dowdy allowed a leadoff walk in the ninth inning but held on to collect his 13th save of the season.

Lincoln 17, El Paso 16 (Top 10 - In Progress)

The game between Lincoln and El Paso was still in progress with the Saltdogs leading the Diablos 17-16 in the top of the 10th inning.
