Amarillo 10, St. Paul 9

Amarillo posted a single run in the bottom of the ninth inning to edge St. Paul 10-9. The Sox started strong with a four-run first inning, as third baseman Van Pope and catcher Benji Johnson hit back-to-back home runs. St. Paul scored runs in the second, third, and seventh innings before right fielder Brandon Tripp drove in the tying run for the Saints in the top of the ninth. Amarillo short stop Jason White's single to center field drove in Johnson in the bottom of the inning to seal the deal for the Sox. Pope led Amarillo with two hits in four at-bats and three RBI.

Lincoln 4, Sioux Falls 3

With the bases loaded in the top of the sixth, Lincoln's Curt Smith went to first base after he was hit by a pitch, and the Sioux Falls slip-up drove in the winning run for the Saltdogs. Lincoln beat Sioux Falls 4-3. Three different Saltdogs had multiple hits in the game, and Smith batted in two of Lincoln's four runs. Sioux Falls scored all three of its runs in the bottom of the first inning from a pair of singles. Tim Brown earned his second win of the season by allowing seven hits and three runs in seven at-bats.

Wichita 9, Fort Worth 7

Ryan Patterson hit a home run in Wichita's second at-bat of the game to get the Wingnuts on the board first and help fuel Wichita to a 9-7 win against Fort Worth. Wichita scored a total of five runs in the bottom of the first inning, and it scored two more in the next frame. Fort Worth tallied a run in each of the sixth, seventh and eighth innings, but it wasn't enough to give the Cats a victory. Patterson led the Wingnuts with three hits in three at-bats, one RBI and three runs. Wichita tallied 14 hits and Forth Worth had eight. Winning pitcher Ryan Hinson, now 3-1, allowed six hits, five runs and struck out five in six innings pitched.

El Paso 3, Shreveport-Bossier 1

El Paso registered 15 hits en route to a 3-1 win against Shreveport-Bossier. The Captains scored their first and only run in the bottom of the third inning, and El Paso tallied a run in each of the third, fourth and fifth innings to earn the win. Five Diablos had multiple hits, and first baseman Kyle Nichols led El Paso with three hits in five at-bats and a pair of RBI. Nichols drove in left fielder Chad Gabriel for the winning run in the top of the fifth inning.

Gary SouthShore 12, Sioux City 11

Sioux City second baseman Ryan Priddy had four hits in five at-bats, three runs and three RBI, but it wasn't enough to lead his team to a victory, and the Explorers fell to Gary SouthShore 12-11. Nine different RailCats combined for 19 hits in the game, and first baseman Mike Rohde led the RailCats with four hits in five at-bats, three runs and an RBI. Sioux City trailed for most of the game, but started making a comeback in the bottom of the sixth inning when the Explorers scored six runs. Winning pitcher Derrick Gordon allowed five hits, five runs and struck out five in 5.2 innings pitched.
