Wichita 4, Joplin 3 (10 Innings)
Luis Hernandez was the hero tonight for the Wingnuts with a walkoff single in the bottom of the 10th inning. Hernandez pinch hit with one out and made his only at-bat of the game count. His single brought home 2B Starlin Rodriguez, who reached base earlier with a HBP. Rodriguez finished the game 1-4 with two runs and an RBI. The Blasters struck first with a run in the first inning to give them the early lead, but Wichita responded with a three run inning, thanks to a double by 2B Matt Padgett. He finished 1-4 with two RBI and a walk.
In the second inning Joplin tied the game with a two run home run by RF Jesus Solorzano. He finished 1-4 with a run and two RBI. The score would remain 3-3 until the Hernandez single ended the game. Reliever Dakota Watts earned the victory for Wichita.
