AMARILLO, TX - The Amarillo Bulls moved to within four points of fifth and eight points back of the fourth and final playoff spot in the South Division after a 2-1 win over the Lone Star Brahmas.

The victory was a small measure of revenge for the Bulls following seven straight losses to Lone Star this season.

The Bulls are back on the road this weekend, beginning the first of four games against the Corpus Christi IceRays (two on road, two at home) before the Christmas Break.

THE WEEK AHEAD:

RADIO SHOW RETURNS TONIGHT: The Amarillo Bulls Radio Show is back on the air tonight from Seven Bar and Grill located on Soncy Road In Amarillo. The show hits the airwaves from 6 to 7 pm on CBS Sports Radio 1440 and online at www.amarillobulls.com. Tonight Denis J. Puska is joined along side by Matt Nicholson and Tony Attanucci, as well as player guests Brady Crabtree and Alex Cathcart.

BACK TO THE ROAD: It's a big weekend of action at American Bank Center in Corpus Christi, Texas as the Bulls visit the IceRays on Friday and Saturday at 7 pm. The last time the teams met in South Texas the Bulls managed to take one point. Tune into the action on CBS Sports Radio 1440, online at www.amarillobulls.com and on PPV with Fast Hockey, beginning with the Wayland Baptist University Warm Up Show at 6:40 pm. The puck drop follows at 7 pm.

BULLS NEXT AT HOME:

FRIDAY, DEC. 18 & SATURDAY, DEC. 19 VS CORPUS CHRISTI, 7 PM: It's the last two games before the Christmas break for the Amarillo Bulls as they host the Corpus Christi IceRays. On Friday it's a visit from Santa Claus, and Saturday the Toys For Tots Teddy Bear Toss returns. Fans are encouraged to bring a new or gently used Teddy Bear or Stuffed Animal to the game and when the Bulls score their first goal - throw the toys onto the ice in support of this great cause.

WEEKEND REWIND:

TOPEKA ROADRUNERS 4 - AMARILLO BULLS 1: Johan Lundgren provided the Bulls with their lone offensive attack scoring on the power play in the third period. Charlie Singerhouse earned an assist on the play.

TOPEKA ROADRUNNERS 5 - AMARILLO BULLS 2: It was a tightly played contest for the first 25 minutes. The game was tied 2-2 early in the second period when the RoadRunners netted the go ahead goal shorthanded. George Mika scored on the power play in the first period from Jake Houston. Liam Ferguson picked up his first in the NAHL early in the second. Jacob Weatherly took the loss in goal. The Bulls penalty killing was seven for seven, and not allowing Topeka to generate any offence.

AMARILLO BULLS 2 - LONE STAR BRAHMAS 1: The Amarillo Bulls ended a couple of streaks including one for futility over Lone Star in their 2-1 win over the Brahmas. Michael Forman scored the game's first goal in the opening period. Jacob Nitsche grabbed the game winner when he deflected a shot from the blue line on the power play.
