WHERE: Budweiser Bull Pen in the Amarillo Civic Center
PROMOTIONS: Saturday is Military Appreciation Night Presented By Vista College. All Military and Veterans can get a free ticket with a Military ID. All Military Family Members receive $8 tickets. There will be many booths on the concourse. Select Bulls' players will wear special military jerseys in warm up. Those jerseys will be available for bidding in a silent auction on the Main Concourse during the game. There are many special ceremonies planned including Swearing in of new cadets, Gold Star Ceremony and much more.
TICKETING OPTIONS: Purchase tickets at the Bulls Office located at 301 South Polk or by calling 242-1122. The Office will be open Friday from 9 am to 4 pm and Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm. Tickets may also be picked up at the Civic Center Box Office and all Panhandle Ticket Outlets, including United Supermarkets or online at www.panhandletickets.com.
THE SERIES: This is the first two meetings of the season between the Amarillo Bulls and the Wichita Falls Wildcats. The clubs will meet a total of three times this month in the Texas Panhandle. The Bulls won three of the 12 meetings between the two teams with two of them taking place in Amarillo and the other at the end of the season on the road. Forward Brady Crabtree notched one goal and five assists for six points in 10 games, while forwards Trent Dillinger and Joey DiBenedetto had 4 and 3 points, respectively. Goaltender Jacob Weatherly won all three games versus Wichita Falls.
Forwards Erich Jaeger and Austin Beaulieu each have 11 points for Wichita Falls against Amarillo. The two combined for eight goals.
BULLS NOTES: The Amarillo Bulls finished the month of October with a mark of 3-7-1. The victories were at the hands of the Corpus Christi IceRays at home and the Odessa Jackalopes away from home. Forward Joey Molinaro had five goals and six assists for 11 points and George Mika was able to pick up two goals and seven assists for nine points. Goaltender Anton Martinsson made 338 saves and allowed just 27 goals in the month. The Bulls power play currently ranks ninth in the NAHL including fourth on home ice.
RED HOT CATS: The Wichita Falls Wildcats have not dropped a game in regulation since opening night to the Topeka Road Runners. Since then the Cats are 12-0-2 with their only other South Division loss coming in overtime to the Lone Star Brahmas in overtime. Eight of the 12 wins for the Cats have come when scoring the first goal and nine wins when they outshoot an opponent. The Wildcats are third in goals scored and third in goals against. Goaltender Justin Kapelmaster has won eight games and is second in the NAHL in goals against average.
ACROSS THE SOUTH: It's a light schedule in the South Division this weekend with just the Topeka RoadRunners hosting the Springfield Jr. Blues at Kansas Expo Center Landon Arena. The Odessa Jackalopes, Corpus Christi IceRays and the Lone Star Brahmas are off until next weekend.
