Amarillo Bulls News Release

Amarillo, TX - The Amarillo Bulls continue to build towards their sixth season in the North American Hockey League by adding another talented all-around player with its latest tender.

Forward Jarett Mari from the Omaha Under 18 team has been tendered by the Bulls for the 2015-16 season. Mari is the eighth player tendered by the Bulls joining Alex Rowe, Bobby Kaiser, Charlie Singerhouse, Matt Nehls, Brycon Johnson, and Patrick Choi.

Mari, a native of Fargo, ND, played in 23 games for the Omaha 18U team in the North American Prospects Hockey League where he was among their leading point getters. The 6-0, 172 pound forward, who was drafted by former Amarillo Bulls Head Coach Dennis Williams and the Bloomington Thunder of the USHL, tallied six goals and added 10 assists for 16 points.

Bulls Director of Scouting Eric Blasé says that Mari's versatility will be a big plus for the team.

"He's a speedy forward who can play both center and on the wing," Blasé said. "Jarett has that game changing speed and plays a gritty two-way game."

Mari has also been impressive when it comes to playing in the post season. In 10 playoff games, the power forward didn't disappoint, averaging nearly a point per game collecting six goals and four assists.

In 2013-14 Mari was a member of Omaha's 16U program and notched four goals and four assists for eight points in 19 games.
