
Amarillo Bulls Raise $24,150 for Amarillo Youth Hockey

AMARILLO, TX - Heritage Hockey Weekend celebrated the rich history of the sport in the Texas Panhandle this past weekend.
To help mark the event, the Amarillo Bulls wore special one-of-a-kind cream color jerseys with the logos of the teamsof the past including the Amarillo Wranglers, Rattlers and Gorillas.
A jersey auction was held on Saturday night with proceeds to benefit Amarillo Youth Hockey. Fans cheered prior to the auction as the youth hockey players took the stage and later helped out handing out the jerseys to the players during the event.
The Heritage Hockey Jersey auction was a huge success raising $24,150 for Amarillo Youth Hockey. In total the Bulls and their fans have helped to raise more than $40,000 for local groups and organizations with its auctions this year. The Bulls and Amarillo Youth Hockey want to thank everyone who participated during the auction.
The Bulls final special jersey weekend will be held later on this season to help the Texas Panhandle Pet Savers.
Hockey is back at the Budweiser Bull Pen in the Amarillo Civic Center as the Bulls host the Odessa Jackalopes on Tuesday at a special start time of 6 pm. It's Two for Tuesday where fans can be one ticket at the regular price and get an additional one free. There will also be $1 hotdogs.
