Amarillo Bulls News Release

AMARILLO, TX - As the Amarillo Bulls begin preparations for their return to South Division action this weekend, Head Coach Rocky Russo made more adjustments to the roster.

The Bulls announced today they have traded forward Nick Stuckless to the Jamestown Rebels in exchange for a NAHL Draft Pick. In a separate transaction, the Bulls sent the rights to Tyler Borsch to the Minnesota Wilderness in exchange for 1999 Center Brendan West.

In 48 games for the Bulls last year, Stuckless had seven goals and 12 assists for 19 points. This season in five games the Canadian from Orangeville, Ontario (near Toronto) had no points.

Head Coach Rocky Russo said the organization wants to wish Nick the best of luck with his new team.

"Moving a player like Nick was a difficult decision for our staff," said Russo. "He's a veteran 200- foot player that brought a lot to our room. We ran into import restrictions that forced us in keeping four of the five. We felt that we wanted to give Nick a larger role with another club in our league and in return we got a valuable draft pick to build our 2019-2020 roster."

Brendan West, who hails from Plymouth, Michigan, played in two games for the Wilderness and has no points. West had some terrific numbers in Michigan High School Hockey. He picked up 114 points, which included 41 goals in 92 games, with Detroit Catholic Central.

"Brendan is a very skilled centerman that will provide depth for us and play in all situations," said Russo. "He has great vision, Hockey IQ and the potential to be an offensive threat in the North American Hockey League the next two seasons."

The Bulls also released defenseman Blake Rossi and forward Trevor Van Vliet, and currently have 25 players on their roster. North American Hockey League teams will have until October 1st to get down to the 23-man roster for the season.

Fans won't want to miss any of the hard hitting action this weekend as the Bulls hook up with the Topeka Pilots on Friday and Saturday at 7 pm at the Budweiser Bull Pen in the Amarillo Civic Center. Friday is Good Neighbor Night Presented By Jason Chafe State Farm. Tickets are available at the Bulls Office located at 301 South Polk, Civic Center, Box Office and all Panhandle Ticket locations including United Supermarkets or online at www.panhandletickets.com and www.amarillobulls.com.
