TOPEKA, KS - A second chance at second place. That's what is facing the Amarillo Bulls tonight (Wednesday) as they visit the Topeka RoadRunners at Kansas Expo Center-Landon Arena at 7 pm. The Bulls missed on their first opportunity this past Sunday, and still need just one victory to secure second place and home ice in the first round of the NAHL playoffs that start next weekend.
Topeka has been a good place for the Bulls to play this season with a 2-1-1 record in four games. Forward Dan Sherer has seven goals for the Bulls, while Cody Freeman has eight helpers.
Both the Bulls and the RoadRunners are coming into tonight's game with chips on their shoulders. The Bulls just one win in their last five games, while Topeka was swept by their rivals from the North Division the St. Louis Bandits including a 5-1 drubbing last Saturday.
Fans can tune into the action live on ESPN1440 and www.amarillobulls.com fueled by Sportsjuice, beginning with The Bulls Warm Up Show Presented By Wayland Baptist University at 6:45 pm. Denis J. Puska has the call at 7 pm. The game is also available on Pay Per View courtesy of Fast Hockey, and a high speed internet connection is required in order to view the game.
The Amarillo Bulls host the Texas Tornado this Saturday night in the regular-season finale at 7 pm It's Street Scion Fan Appreciation Night and one lucky fan will have a chance to shoot for a brand new car. Fans are also encouraged to register to win a game-worn jersey that will be drawn throughout the night. Immediately after the game, the Bulls will be holding their awards banquet in the Corral and everyone is invited to attend.
