Amarillo Bulls Busy in the Community this Weekend

AMARILLO, TX - It's going to be a busy weekend in the community for the Amarillo Bulls as they enjoy some rare time off in the North American Hockey League.

There will be two 'Hockey for Health Events' on Thursday and Friday at Oakdale Elementary School and Johnny Allen Middle School. Bulls players will be out teaching youngsters some simple hockey skills, and the importance of staying active and eating healthy.

On Saturday, the Bulls will be split up into two groups, participating in a couple of unique events to help support the Humane Society and the local SPCA. At Westgate Mall, Bulls players will be walking the dogs from the Humane Society from noon to 5 pm. Later that evening, the first 'Tip A Waiter' event will take place at LaFrontera Restaurant located on South Arthur Street. Fans are encouraged to drop by and tips collected will benefit the SPCA.

It's back on the ice next week for the Amarillo Bulls with three games in three nights. The action begins on Thursday night when the Bulls visit the New Mexico Mustangs for the final time this season at 8:30 pm central, 7:30 pm Mountain.

The Bulls will then return to home ice on Friday and Saturday night when they entertain the Corpus Christi IceRays at 7 pm. On Friday, it's Scout Night and to book your Troop or Pack, please call the Bulls Office at 806-242-1122. On Saturday, the Bulls will be wearing Make-A-Wish jerseys and those jerseys will be auctioned off immediately after the game. All fans are invited out to that auction that takes place in The Corral.

Tickets for next weekend's contests are available at all Panhandle Ticket Outlets, including United Supermarkets, Civic Center Box Office or online at www.amarillobulls.com. * Saturday, Feb. 20 - Bulls First Tip A Waiter at LaFrontera Restaurant, 6 pm to 9 pm. Proceeds to benefit the SPCA.
