AMARILLO, TX - The regular season is winding down in NCAA Division I and Division III hockey. Just a handful of games remain before the playoffs and tournaments get underway as the official road to the Frozen Four gets underway.

Two former teammates TJ Sarcona and Greg Gibson had multi-point games to lead their respective schools.

TJ Sarcona scored the game tying goal as Niagara University and Mercyhurst battled to a 3-3 tie. Sarcona's goal came early in the third period. Sarcona added an assist the next night as Niagara lost to Mercyhurst 4-2.

Greg Gibson scored into an empty net as Robert Morris dumped Canisius 4-1. The next night, Gibson scored again with help of his former teammate with the Bulls John Rey but they lost 6-3 to Canisius College. Cody Freeman tallied for Canisius in that game.

Luke Jenkins and Joe Kozlak each set up goals as Army edged Connecticut 4-3. Matt Johnson earned an assist as Lake Superior edged the University of Alabama Huntsville 2-1. Brandon Lubin set up two goals, but it wasn't enough as American International fell to Holy Cross 4-3.

In Division III, Dan McDougall assisted on the third Neumann goal in a 4-3 loss to Nazareth.

Ryan Cole netted both goals for Trinity in a 2-0 win over Weslayan. The next night he scored again and notched two helpers as Trinity outlasted Weslayan 8-5.

Mike Erickson gathered an assist as St. Olaf nipped Augsburg 5-4 in OT.

The current members of the Amarillo Bulls have the weekend off with no games, but will return to action on Friday, Mar. 7 and Saturday, Mar. 8 versus the Topeka RoadRunners at the Budweiser Bull Pen in the Amarillo Civic Center. The face offs for both games are set for 7 pm.

Friday night is college night with college students getting in for just $5 with an proper ID. It's also Family Four Pack and Bring a Buddy Night. The Family Four Pack consists of four hotdogs, four sodas, and four tickets for just $39. The Bring A Buddy Pack has two tickets, two hotdogs and two sodas for $20.

Saturday is kids appreciation night presented by Unique Individuals and the first 500 fans through the doors will receive a kids lunch bag. Children 12 and under can get free tickets with the purchase of an adult.
