Amarillo Bulls News Release

AMARILLO, TX - Two Amarillo Bulls' Alumni fired their first NCAA College goals over the weekend to help their respective teams in action.

Matt Johnson scored in the first period for the Lake Superior State Lakers as they defeated Robert Morris University 3-1 on Saturday night. It was the Lakers second straight victory by that score. On the Friday night, Greg Gibson notched an assist for Robert Morris and former Bulls' Captain John Rey played in his first NCAA game.

TJ Sarcona tallied late in the first period to ignite a big rally as Niagara University beat Canisius College 6-4. Niagara trailed 4-1 late in the first period and Sarcona's goal began a run of five consecutive goals. Cody Freeman suited up for Canisius College, while defenseman Geoff Fortman did not play.

Joe Kozlak, Luke Jenkins, Garrett Peterson and Clint Carlisle were all in the line-up for Army in a 4-1 loss at Penn State. Neither player figured into the scoring.

Bentley University split games against the University of Nebraska-Omaha. Tyler Deresky suited up for Falcons in one of the games.

John Gustafsson and his younger brother Hampus played in both games for Merrimack against the University of Denver. The Warriors failed to get on the scoreboard in back-to-back shutout losses to the Pioneers.

There are plenty of collegiate games this weekend and highlighting the schedule is a meeting of original Bulls' John Rey and TJ Sarcona as Robert Morris hosts Niagara University.
