
Alyssa Thomas and Brionna Jones Named 2022 AT&T WNBA All-Stars

Uncasville, CT - Connecticut Sun forwards, Alyssa Thomas and Brionna Jones, were named 2022 AT&T WNBA All-Star reserves, the league announced today. This is the third WNBA All-Star selection for Thomas (2017, 2019) and second WNBA All-Star selection for Jones (2021). Thomas and Jones will join 2022 AT&T WNBA All-Star starter, Jonquel Jones, to represent the Sun in Chicago.
Thomas, an eight-year WNBA veteran, is currently leading Connecticut in assists per game (5.8) and steals per game (1.4). This season she has picked up both WNBA Eastern Conference Player of the Week (May 16-22) and Kia WNBA Eastern Conference Player of the Month (May) honors. In her last WNBA All-Star appearance in 2019, Thomas finished with eight points, five rebounds, four assists, and one steal off the bench.
B. Jones enters her second WNBA All-Star game averaging 13.8 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.3 steals per contest this season for the Sun. She is currently third in the WNBA in field goal percentage (56.4%), third in offensive rebound percentage (11.3%), fourth in points in the paint per game (9.3) and fifth in second-chance points per game (2.4). The 2021 WNBA Most Improved Player tallied eight points, three rebounds and one steal in her first WNBA AT&T All-Star appearance in 2021.
AT&T WNBA All-Star Team co-captains, Breanna Stewart & Sylvia Fowles and A'ja Wilson & Sue Bird, will draft their respective All-Star rosters during ESPN's broadcast of the WNBA All-Star Team Selection Special on Saturday, July 2 at 3 P.M. EST, choosing first from the remaining pool of eight starters and then from the pool of 12 reserves.

The Sun are back in action tomorrow against the Chicago Sky at 12:00 P.M. EST/11:00 A.M. CST at Wintrust Arena, where they look to pick up their first win against the Sky this season.
