New York Liberty News Release
NEW YORK - Following the WNBA head coach's All-Star reserve vote, Liberty forward Natasha Howard has been selected to play in the AT&T 2022 WNBA All-Star Game, to be held on Sunday, July 10 at Wintrust Arena in Chicago, Illinois.
Howard, the Liberty's leading rebounder and second leading scorer this season, will make her second career WNBA All-Star appearance after averaging 15.2 points (15th in WNBA), 6.8 rebounds (T-14th in WNBA), and 1.2 blocks (11th in WNBA) while shooting 47.1% from the field through 18 contests in 2022.
"Natasha is incredibly deserving of this All-Star honor," said Liberty Head Coach Sandy Brondello. "Her consistency on both ends of the floor has been key for us this season, and we're very proud to have her represent the Liberty in Chicago."
The nine-year WNBA veteran is now the New York Liberty's 17th all-time player selected as an All-Star, and alongside guard Sabrina Ionescu, marks the 11th time in franchise history where multiple Liberty players garnered All-Star honors.
The 18th WNBA All-Star Game will be broadcast on ABC at 1 p.m. ET. For more information on the AT&T 2022 WNBA All-Star Game, please visit www.wnba.com/allstar/2022/.
