Alumni Kaskisuo Signs with Toronto Maple

The Minnesota Wilderness, proud member of the North American Hockey League, are excited to announce that former goaltender Kasimir Kaskisuo has signed a two-year entry level contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs. Kaskisuo, from Vantaa, Finland, spent his first season in the United States with the Wilderness duing their inauragal season in 2013-2014.

Kaskisuo, 22, has spent the last two years at the University of Minnesota Duluth, where he started 39 of 40 games this season with a 1.92 GAA and .923 Save Percentage. During the 2014-2015 season, Kaskisuo started 36 of 40 games as a freshman and posted a 2.30 GAA and .917 Save Percentage.

During the 2013-2014 season, Kaskisuo appeared in 32 regular season games with a record of 21-6-0-5 with a 1.48 GAA and .944 Save Percentage. During the playoffs that year, he appeared in 5 games posing at 2-2 record and 1.75 GAA and .943 Save Percentage. Kaskisuo was also named to the All Midwest Division Team that season.

Kasimir has reported to Toronto and hopes to make his professional debut with Toronto Marlies, the Maple Leafs AHL team.
