Altitude to televise 12 Sky Sox games this season

Denver, March 30 - Altitude Sports & Entertainment (Altitude) will feature 12 Colorado Springs Sky Sox games during the 2006 Pacific Coast League season, including the home opener on April 14 against the Tucson Sidewinders, the Triple-A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks.

The PCL is one of the most competitive leagues in Minor League baseball and each team the Sky Sox faces is laden with talented players. Not only will fans be able to see the exciting players on the Sky Sox, the Triple-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies, but they will also see top prospects from the New Orleans Zephyrs (Washington Nationals), Tacoma Rainiers (Seattle Mariners), Fresno Grizzles (San Francisco Giants), Portland Beavers (San Diego Padres) and the Sacramento River Cats (Oakland Athletics). The television schedule also features teams from within Altitude's 10-state region, including the Albuquerque Isotopes (Florida Marlins) and Salt Lake Bees (Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim).

"We are pleased to bring Colorado Springs Sky Sox games to baseball fans in our 10-state area," Altitude CEO Jim Martin said. "Altitude is Colorado's sports network and we are proud to continue our coverage of the Sky Sox."

Jerry Schemmel will provide the play-by-play for the opening game, with Irv Brown as color analyst and Kyle Keefe serving as sideline reporter.

"The Sky Sox are extremely excited for our fans to experience one of the best broadcasts in Minor League baseball at any level in the country," said Sky Sox General Manager Tony Ensor. "The game broadcasts will allow us to showcase Colorado Springs and Sky Sox baseball to a huge area of the country and we are proud to be a part of Altitude and their outstanding coverage."
