Montreal - The Montreal Alouettes will play at BMO Field on Saturday, November 11 at 3 p.m. ET in the Eastern Final against the Toronto Argonauts (RDS, TSN, 98.5fm, TSN 690).
The Alouettes defeated the Tiger-Cats in the Eastern Semi-Final, 27-12, last Saturday in front of more than 20,000 noisy fans at Percival Molson Memorial Stadium.
The Als lost three games to Toronto (16-2-0) this season, (35-27, 39-10 and 23-20). In their last duel in Montreal, the Alouettes nearly won the game.
The Alouettes (11-7-0) have won their last six games (five to end the season and the Eastern Semi-Final against Hamilton).
Since 1996, the Alouettes have a 5-5 record against the Argonauts in the Eastern Final. The Argos defeated the Als in the East Final last year.
Game notes
Linebacker Tyrell Richard is back in the lineup after being on injured list. In his second season in the nest, he finished with 11 special teams tackles, a forced fumble and an interception that he turned for a major. Running back William Stanback is in great shape in the playoffs. In the Eastern Semi-Final, he accumulated 95 rushing yards and 25 receiving yards.
With two sacks, an interception, a knockdown and eight defensive tackles last Saturday, the Argos will have to keep an eye on Darnell Sankey. Marc-Antoine Dequoy had another interception a week ago. He had five during the regular season.
With a win, the Alouettes would play in the Grey Cup in Hamilton on Sunday, November 19 at 6 p.m. ET. The winner of the Western Final between B.C. and Winnipeg will also play in the game on Sunday.
