
Alley Cats stay atop rankings

Indianapolis, IN. With about three weeks to go in the season, the Indiana Alley Cats continue to set the pace as the ABA's number one team though Rochester, Southern California and Gallup have their sights set on the number one seeding for the upcoming playoffs. According to Joe Newman, ABA CEO, "The next two weeks could see some changes as the top teams are playing one another in inter-divisional play. One win or one loss could change things dramatically. It is very exciting." The rankings:

4. Gallup Talons
5. San Jose Skyrockets
6. Maryland Nighthawks
7. Florida Pit Bulls
8. Atlanta Vision
9. Pittsburgh Xplosion

11. Bellingham Slam
12. Toledo Ice
13. Montreal Matrix
14. Beijing Aoshen Olympian
15. Strong Island Sound
16. Newark Express
Newman added, "The first eight teams will get a bye in the first round of the playoffs. The second eight will play eight wild card teams with the winners of those games playing the bye teams.
