Alley Cats' Fountain Wins Second CBA Player of the Week Award

Anderson, IN (March 5, 2007) - The Continental Basketball Association today that Indiana Alley Cats guard Shaun Fountain has been named the CBA Player of the Week for the week of February 26th through March 4th. This is the second time Fountain has won the award this season, as he previously received it for the first week of January.
Fountain had a phenomenal week. He posted averages of 33.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, 5.3 assists, and 2.7 steals in three games last week. Shaun tallied 68 points in two games against Albany to begin the week. He finished the week off by scoring 32 points on Sunday at Pittsburgh. He shot a blistering 53% from the field (37 of 70) from the field for the week and canned all 21 of his free throws.
On the season, Fountain leads all active CBA players in scoring with 22.6 points per game. His 2.6 steals per game also lead the CBA. He is fourth in assists (5.7) and eighth in free throw percentage (86%).
Other players receiving consideration were Albany's John Strickland, Butte's Odell Bradley, Great Falls' Javon Harris, Minot's Desmond Ferguson, Pittsburgh's Corey Minnifield, and Yakama's Chris Alexander.
The Alley Cats are in Albany where they will take on the Patroons tomorrow night at 7:35. They will return home on Friday to host the Pittsburgh Xplosion this weekend.
