Allen's Spencer Asuchak Named Oakley CHL Player of the Week

GLENDALE, AZ (January 27, 2014) -The Central Hockey League announced today that Allen Americans forward Spencer Asuchak has been named the Oakley Central Hockey League Player of the Week for the period ending January 26, 2014.

The rookie had five points (three goals, two assists) in the Americans three games last week, all wins. In Monday's overtime win over the Arizona Sundogs, Asuchak scored the game-tying goal with nine seconds remaining in regulation pushing his team to extra time. On Friday, the Kamloops, British Columbia native had two goals (scored on a penalty shot) and an assist in a 5-2 win over St. Charles and then on Sunday he capped the week with an assist in Allen's 3-1 win over the Chill.
On the season, Asuchak has 12 goals and 15 assists in 39 games ranking tied for third among all rookies in scoring. His three shorthanded goals are tied for first among all skaters.
