Allen Americans News Release

Allen, Texas - The Allen Americans of the Central Hockey League announced today the team will host an on-ice wedding on Saturday, March 29th. The wedding will be another Americans first, and another part of the Allen Americans Five Year Anniversary Special Season.

Mark Costello and Mary Rose Simonetti, long time Allen Americans fans and season ticket holders, will tie the knot during the Allen Americans game on March 29th against Denver. The ceremony will be performed during the 1st intermission on the ice, with Americans players, Ice Angels and staff playing a part in their special night.

"What started as a joke between us and fellow hockey fans about a wedding at center ice took on a life if its own," said Costello. "It seems appropriate since we signed up for season tickets during our first real date at the Reba McEntire concert the night before the very first home game and we've only missed a game or two since then. We celebrated our engagement during the second season by taking a road trip to Bossier to watch the Americans play the Mudbugs. Mary and I feel so honored and thankful that the Americans organization is allowing us to share our wedding with our favorite team and the best hockey fans anywhere. We have always thought of the Americans staff, players and fans as extended family, and the Allen Event Center a home away from home, so this really makes our special day so much sweeter."

Americans fans are encouraged to join the soon to be married couple for a post-game party at Kelly's in the Village at Allen across from Allen Event Center, immediately following the Americans vs. Cutthroats game.

The Allen Americans will open the post-season the following week, with dates and times to be announced at a later date. Tickets for all remaining home games are on sale at www.ticketmaster.com or by calling (972) 912-1000 .
