
Alexandria names director of basketball operations

Alexandria, VA. Tracey Scruggs has been named Director of Basketball Operations for the new expansion ABA basketball team that begins play in November. According to Daryl Mackey, co-owner, "Tracey has coached and worked with players on every level for 15 years. He finished among the all-time scorers and is noted as the all-time assist leader at Catawba College in North Carolina and was also All-Metro in Washington DC during his high school basketball career. Since college, Tracey has organized several basketball camps, summer leagues including the Jaboo Kenner League and has worked with player relations and also coached several teams in the region including the ABA's Baltimore Pearls in their 2005-2006 season. We welcome him to our organization and look forward to working closely with him as he continues to prepare for Alexandria's 2006-2007 season."
"I am very excited about the upcoming training cmap on September 16th," stated Scruggs. We have a talented group of players coming back." Included are:
