Bakersfield - Bakersfield Blitz defensive specialist, Alex Wallace and offensive lineman/defensive lineman, Jerry Turner will be a guest on tonight's weekly radio program, "The Indoor War Report with Head Coach Gary Compton." The show will be broadcasted live on KGEO AM 1230 from Tailgater's Sports Bar and Grill, 900 Truxtun Ave, from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m.

Alex Wallace was named ADT Defensive Player of the Week by the af2. He helped lead the Blitz to a 55-26 victory with 3 interceptions in Saturday's game against the Stockton Lightning. This is the third award the Blitz have received by the league in their four weeks of play in the 2006 season.

Jerry Turner also did well, as he made his presence known on both sides of the game. Turner came to the Blitz after two years with the af2 Birmingham Steeldogs in 2004 and 2005. With the Steeldogs, Turner was deemed All-time sack leader with 22 sacks and All-time sack leader in a season with 9 sacks.

The Blitz will continue their run for the championship on Saturday, May 6 when they face the Spokane Shock for the second time. Kick off is set for 7:00 p.m. at the Spokane Arena. Currently, the Blitz stand 3-1, with an undefeated record on the road. A victory this Saturday will place the Blitz and Spokane in a tie for first place.

Season tickets for the Blitz 2006 season are still on sale, as well as single game tickets. Ticket plans start at the prorated price of $70 and single game tickets are as low as $10 in the lower bowl. Tickets will be available at the Rabobank Arena box office and any Ticketmaster location.
