Albany Patroons Green And Gold Game November 14

Albany, NY (November 12, 2007) - On November 14, 2007, fans will get their first opportunity to see the defending 2007 CBA American Conference champion Albany Patroons, as the franchise's players will participate in the second annual "Green and Gold" game at the Washington Avenue Armory. The game will start at 7:35 p.m.; Patroons season ticket holders can arrive at 6:30 p.m. for a pregame season ticket party (refreshments available) at the Armory in the Patroons room.

Albany's new head coach, two-time CBA Most Valuable Player Vincent Askew, will choose his "Green" team, while Askew's assistant coach Tim Moseman will guide the "Gold" squad. Both teams are comprised of players from the Patroons' training camp, all looking to secure one of the coveted ten spots on the official Patroons opening night roster, and play in Albany's first game of the season, Friday, November 16, when the Pats host the expansion Atlanta Krunk.

Scheduled to participate in Albany's "Green and Gold" game are Shawn Hawkins (formerly of the USBL Patroons and grandson of basketball Hall of Famer Connie Hawkins), Will Bowers (7'1" center from Maryland, former NIT semifinalist), and Christopher Burns (6'0" guard from Merrimack, former Northeast-10 tournament semifinalist), among others.

Also scheduled to participate in the "Green and Gold" game are The Emeralds (Albany's champion dance team) and Lido the Panda (Albany team mascot). Admission to the "Green and Gold" game is free, and fans are encouraged to bring as many of their friends and buddies and family as possible.
